As we are an independent, family-owned business, you will be booking with the owner directly and avoiding the often up to 25% more expensive prices that many agencies charge for similar properties.

We like to be flexible regarding length of stay and short breaks are often available at short notice or outside school holidays when we generally only take full week bookings.

Great bargains and budget breaks are often available on last minute availability. Please call or email for details on our holiday cottages in the Lake District.

Inclusive and additional charges

• Most heating is by storage heaters, the cost of which is included in the rental charge as well as coals and logs for the open fire (within reason).
• Cost of electricity is additional to the rental charge and is calculated on a meter basis except for The Studio where it is included in the rental charge. Electricity costs generally cover cooking, sockets, hot water and some electric heaters.
• Sheets, pillowslips, towels, tea towels and toilet rolls are to be provided by guests although sheets, pillowslips and towels may be hired at an additional charge if requested in advance of arrival.
• Laundry facilities with washing machines and tumble dryers are available at a small additional charge.
• Cots, high chairs and stair gates are available free of charge but please request in advance of arrival.

N.B. Prices vary between these below according to the number of people, time of year and length of stay.

Mid week and weekend breaks are mainly available from November to June excluding most school holidays.
